Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.

Nature Walk at Eshelman 9am-10am
Take in an easy walk through the retired farmlands observing the seasonal changes in the shrub wetland, mature meadow, creek and pond edges, and the mixed hardwood forest. This walk is FREE and suitable for all ages.
Making Your Own Soap 10:30am-2:30pm at Lillibridge
Learn to make your own soap using native plants. These native plants have wonderful healing qualities. Leave with the knowledge to make your own soap, a sample of soap, a jar of jewel weed juice, and a jar of birch leaf oil. Cost for the general public is $35. Pfeiffer Nature Center members pay $30.
