Horses are one of the most magnificent creatures on Earth-----do you feel this way? Do you always wish you knew more about horses and their care? This 4 week, 4 night educational program is designed for anyone wishing to learn more about horses - no matter whether you are a beginner or a seasoned equestrian there will be information for all. The program will include guest presenters on different topics such as feeding, trail riding, showing, styles of riding, safety, veterinary care, housing among others each night as well as a planned visit to a local horse farm. The program is open to all adults as well as youth. Hopefully you will want to attend all 4 evenings but this is not required. Come and join us for some information packed evenings and bring questions. Open to ages 15 & up and ages 7 to 14 years with a parent or guardian.

Most Residents are Amish in the Town of Leon

There are approximately 1,380 residents in Leon with the Amish Community comprising about 76% of that number. The Old Order Amish settled in Leon in 1949. They do not believe in the modern conveniences. They have no electricity in their homes + travel by horse and buggy. 

If you are looking for someplace interesting to go, try the Leon area. It is right in the heart of Amish Country.
