Photographer Barbara Luisi to host Artist's Talk

Acclaimed Fine Arts Photographer, Barbara Luisi's will host talk to launch her exhibit at Regina A. Quick Center.  Barbara Luisi's work has been found in galleries in Europe, the United States, and Japan.  The two exhibitions that will be displayed in the Quick Center from Sept 27th through Nov 24th are "Pearls, Tears of the Sea" which features underwater photography, and "Glowing Nights" featuring artifical light photography. 

Her talk will launch the exhibitions and discuss the different aspects of photography, including the ones she used in both exhibits, and also about her first career as a musician.  In deed, Barbara is a very talented artist.  This event is free to the public and talk will begin at 4:00pm. 

Regular gallery hours for viewing are 10am-5pm Monday through Friday, and noon to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Most Residents are Amish in the Town of Leon

There are approximately 1,380 residents in Leon with the Amish Community comprising about 76% of that number. The Old Order Amish settled in Leon in 1949. They do not believe in the modern conveniences. They have no electricity in their homes + travel by horse and buggy. 

If you are looking for someplace interesting to go, try the Leon area. It is right in the heart of Amish Country.
