The Largest New York State Park is Allegany State Park which is the 3rd largest in the nation with 65,000 acres (97 square miles) and lots of trails. The fifth of six in the Civil War Event Series to commemorate the the fourth year of the Civil War sesquicentennial. Each of the six events will highlight a different aspect of the Civil War, this one being "Railroads During the Civil War". Speaker will be Larry Kilmer, who has collected railroad artifacts, books, maps, pictures and memorabilia since he was a child. His father was fascinated by the railroad industry and collected information and research on local railroads.
