Saturday, July 1, to Sunday, July 2 – For the best bang for your summer buck, mark your calendars for Ellicottville’s Summer Music Festival on the scenic slopes of Holiday Valley Resort. A fun-filled weekend featuring a variety of  live music and entertainment, where families may  bring their own picnic baskets.  And for those who like to be pampered, Holiday Valley will  set up an array of food and beverage items.

On Saturday, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the tunes of your favorite pirates and princesses music capped off with fireworks set to music.  On Sunday, former front man of The Guess Who and member of April Wine, Carl Dixon, will get the night rolling as the opening act.  Headlining the weekend is the American Band, Grand Funk Railroad! They take the stage after Carl Dixon on July 2! Tickets for the shows are $30 in advance and $40 the day of the show!

VIP Packages are available and consistent with the festival’s family-friendly mindset. Children 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult. Check out the Village of Ellicottville as well for more family fun, including the annual Pet Parade, Arts and Crafts Show, Strawberry Festival and more!

The 2016 Ellicottville Summer Music Festival is going to be a THREE concert weekend! On Friday, July 1, Rusted Root (opener TBA) will play slope side. Tickets are $25.

Saturday is the traditional Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, not only performing to the fireworks, but also playing the tunes of your favorite heroes and villains! Tickets start at $30.

Sunday, July 3, Southern Rock legends, 38 Special (opener TBA), will be playing slope side. “Hold on Loosely” as you go “Rockin’ into the Night!” Tickets start at $30.

Clare Mark is the highest elevation in Cattaraugus County

The highest point in Cattaraugus County is Clare Mark, at 2,430 feet.  This mount, in the Town of Allegany off Chipmunk Road, is privately owned, and does not have public access for hiking.  Nearby attractions are Rock City Park and Allegany State Park.
