Every Tuesday in January and February, Starting at the Summit Warming Hut on the Red House side of the park, we will be hiking the new trail called Bear Paw dedicated to snowshoe use and hiking with dogs (as long as they are leashed). The Spring Rafting Season in Zoar Valley opens in March with the spring runoff and lasts until late May or early June as the water level becomes too low. The best white water action can normally be had from right now through April, depending of course on the amount of rainfall.
Join amphibian enthusiasts Holly Fischer and Tami Attwell as they present on the awesomeness of the 10 species of frogs that inhabit Western New York. They will share information on the calls and common characteristics which help to identify the toads and frogs in their natural environments.
