The Spring Rafting Season in Zoar Valley opens in March with the spring runoff and lasts until late May or early June as the water level becomes too low. The best white water action can normally be had from right now through April, depending of course on the amount of rainfall.
7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Rathskeller on campus: Jazz 'n' Wings with The Les Sabina Septet. Outside of the classroom, Sabina is an award-winning composer and accomplished saxophonist. He and his septet, some of the best jazz musicians in the region, will play contemporary jazz as chicken wings are served up, courtesy of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.

Friends of Good Music presents "Fire and Grace: Virtuoso Violin meets Celtic Guitar". Canadian-born violinist Edwin Huizinga has established himself as one of North America's most versatile violinists. Grammy award winning guitarist William Coulter has been performing and recording traditional and classical music for more than 25 years.
7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Quick Center: LanDforms. This dance and performance art duo is composed of Leah Crosby, a creative dance teacher on Martha's Vineyard, and Danielle Evelena Doell, a dance performance artist based in Seattle, Wash. Both are fine arts graduates of Ohio University, where they met.
The South Dayton Daffodil Festival and craft show will be held Saturday, March 24th. A craft show will be held from 10am - 3pm. There will also be a dessert contest with registration held in the morning and judging to follow.
Sign up to skim across an ice water filled pond or just watch, it's a guaranteed good time. Registration outside Yodeler Lodge starting at 11:00AM, free! Kids under 18 must have a parent signature, minimum age is 8 years old. Pond Skimming starts about 1:00 and categories include Best Skimmer, Best Costume, Best Kid and Best Splash.
7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the Quick Center: Sal Andolina's Bistro Musica. This performance of European café music features Sal Andolina, clarinetist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, BPO Concertmaster Dennis Kim on violin, and Dr. Albert Schlisserman on accordion. "These are virtuoso performers," said Sabina. "It should be an excellent and fun concert."

7 p.m. Monday, April 30, at the Quick Center: Harmonia Chamber Singers: An Evening of A Capella. A highly regarded regional choir out of Buffalo, this 20-member group presents a variety of modern and Broadway a cappella choral pieces.

The officials at Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce have scheduled the Community-Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, May 19, from 9 AM until 4 PM. The Chamber is encouraging people to get up in their attics, basements, and garages and start sorting and cleaning.
