2012 Traditional Snowsnake Game to Be Held in Salamanca

A Snowsnake competition to see who can throw a snowsnake (a six-foot long specially prepared wooden stick) the furthest… at speeds that can reach over 100 miles an hour along a quarter-mile snow track, will be held on Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3 in Salamanca, NY.

A wonderful opportunity to sample traditional Seneca Indian food. The menu includes roast turkey, roast venison, hull corn soup, boiled corn bread, mashed beans, squash, fried salt pork, samp and other traditional foods. Crafts and baked goods will be available.
