Snowmobile trails are OPEN and most areas, including Allegany State Park, are reporting Fair to Good conditions!
Most of the county received 4"-6" of new snow last night (Thursday) and more snow is expected today. Groomers are out working on the trails, so please be alert for their presence and YIELD TO GROOMERS.
Southern Tier Snow Drifters report that in Gowanda, there is an auxiliary trail from the Moose to McDonalds that is temporarily closed due to the gas company doing some work. They strongly suggest that you NOT ride the sidewalk in that area.
Snowbounders report that Trail S-36 in Ashford leading to Riley's, is officially closed. The trail leading to South Dayton is closed as well. They want to remind everyone that it is considered trespassing to ride on trails that have been closed by a club.
Franklinville Snowmobile Club reports that trail C2 is open for the first time this season, but warns that there has been logging in the area and trails may be rough.
Enchanted Mountains Border Riders report that their Club Trail in Limestone, goes past a couple homes and they encourage you to keep your sleds on the trail and quiet! They also have some joint use trails and warn you to watch for vehicles and equipment.
Cold temperatures are expected for the weekend and it looks like a great weekend to ride! Please obey all signs, stay within the stakes on the trails and RIDE SAFE.
