2018 Tri-County Trout Derby

The Chamber of Commerce in Arcade is offering adventure to early season anglers with their annual Tri-County Trout Derby set for the Upper Cattaraugus Creek, April 14 and 15.  All New York State fishing regulations must be followed.  Register online at the Arcade Chamber's website.  There is also a printable application available online or at the Chamber's office. 

The Tri-County Trout Derby is Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15    Fishing will be from 6:30am-7:00pm on Saturday and 6:30am-5:00pm on Sunday.  There will be a Derby Headquarters located at the Arcade Fire Department (145 North St. Arcade, NY).  It opens at 5am both days of Derby and offers Derby info, registration packets not picked up early, 1 of 2 official check points, prize money for fish, food and drinks, bait, 50/50 tickets, Community Fish tickets, apparel, raffles, and more!

Eligibility- All men, women, and children are eligible regardless of age. All entrants aged 16 and older must be the holder of a valid New York State fishing license.  Derby registration must be completed and fees paid prior to fishing in this derby. 

Eligible Fish Species- Tagged Rainbow trout 

Registration and Entry Fees- All registrations are to be completed and signed by participants. Adult Entry fee is $20 prior to March 16 and $30 for registrants after March 16. Child registration fee is $20 no matter the date of registration. 

Fishing locations and techniques- Eligible fish must be caught in the nine mile area between the corner of Rt 98 and East Arcade Road (Old Cattaraugus Road) in Arcade and 200 yards south of the bridge on Savage Road in Chaffee. The starting and ending points will be marked by signs.  All fish must be caught using a fishing rod and reel.  Live bait or artificial bait is eligible.  Only tagged fish will be eligible and all fish must be turned in alive.
