Delevan Drive In

Very few drive-ins are left in the USA. We recommend during the warmer weather to take the family, friends or a date to the Delevan Drive-In.

The Delevan Drive-In has 2 screens and each screen plays 2 movies a night so in one night the Delevan Drive-In shows 4 movies!

When compared to going to the movie theaters, the drive-in is inexpensive! You see 2 movies at the drive-in for what you'd pay to see 1 movie at the movie theaters.

The most difficult part can be making a decision between which of the 2 double features to see.

They have a playground for the kids, bathrooms and a concession stand with lots of food and snacks.

Meaning of the word Cattaraugus

CATTARAUGUS, from a Seneca Indian word meaning “bad smelling banks,” referring to the odor of natural gas leaking from rock seams. http://www.dos.ny.gov/info/pdfs/countynames.pdf

The word "Cattaraugus" means "foul-smelling river bank." This name is a result of the natural gas that oozes from the river mud. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cattaraugus_Creek.

In our opinion, only some of the river banks are bad smelling. Come on over and visit a creek in Cattaraugus County and tell us what you think.
