Carson Waterman, a distinguished artist and revered cultural figure for the Haudenosaunee people of the Seneca Nation, will discuss his life and artwork in a special presentation at St. Bonaventure University on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:00pm in the Rigas Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. 

Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Allegany State Park!

Join Allegany State Park on Saturday, September 27th from 9:00am-2:30pm at the Red House side of the park for a celebration of 20 years of National Public Lands Day! This nationwide event brings people together to give back to public lands through volunteer service projects. 

Event Details: 

- Check-in/Registration: 9:00-9:30am at the Beehunter picnic shelter 

- Service Projects: 9:30am-12:30pm

The Challenger Learning Center announced the return of their popular space quiz event! Join in to test your space knowledge and also support a local organization. The event will feature a quiz with prizes for the winning team. You can participate in a team of 2-5 players.

Apart from the quiz, we will also have raffles with exciting prizes such as a Cutco Block, a $100 gift certificate from the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, a $50 AMC gift certificate, and more. You can still purchase raffle tickets even if you are not attending the event.

HO! HO! HO! The holidays are right around the corner, and there's no better way to get into the spirit than by spending a fun-filled day at Allegany State Park for a Saturday with Santa on Saturday December 6th from 11:00am - 3:00pm. 

Join the Environmental Education Department for a festive family event featuring crafts, games, photos with Santa, and plenty of holiday cheer. 

After bursting onto scene as the Season 10 winner of “American Idol,” he quickly won the hearts of critics and audiences alike, with his deep voice and traditional Country style. A string of impressive hits soon followed including “Five More Minutes,” “In Between,” and “Damn Straight.” Known for his crooning melodies and downhome Southern charm, this North Carolina native has become a respected figure in Country music. The Challenger Learning Center in Allegany is hosting a magical event where kids, and parents, can dress up as their favorite wizards and participate in over 30 STEAM activities on October 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm. 

Cost: $5 per person 

*If you register by October 22nd, your child will receive a special letter from Hogwarts via email that you can print out!

Come out to Allegany State Park on October 5th at 9:30am to experience "Autumn in Allegany"! 

This FREE event will be held in the Red House Area of the park at the Administration Building and is perfect for all ages! Participants will learn basic watercolor techniques and create their own masterpieces under the guidance of naturalists. All materials are provided, so you just need to bring your creativity!
