Gowanda’s Historic Hollywood Theatre proudly presents MR. BRIGHTSIDE!- the ultimate KILLERS experience!

Mr. Brightside: The Ultimate Killers Experience is the premier tribute band from Niagara Falls, NY, delivering electrifying performances of The Killers’ greatest hits. Fronted by Rob Bilson, we bring the iconic sound and energy of The Killers to life!! This show will be held on Saturda, May 3rd at 7 pm.

It's Christmas in Allegany Santa House season!

Opening night with a parade to welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus:

November 29th: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

The following dates you can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their house in Allegany:

December 4th: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

December 6th: 1:00pm - 3:00 pm

December 11th: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

December 13th: 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Calling all car enthusiasts! Bring your ride or just your appetite for Cruise Nights at Fatties Creamery & Grill every Thursday from 5pm - 8pm. Classic and Custom cars are welcome to this family friendly event. There will be a raffle entry with every food purchase to win a free ice cream cone. Drawings will be every hour.

Celebrate the United States' landmark 250th birthday at Freedom Fest 2026 in Otto, New York. Taking place on August 22, 2026, this vibrant community festival offers a full day of family-friendly entertainment, local food, and classic American traditions. 

Join Ellicottville Distillery for their annual Christmas Tree Bonfire on Saturday, January 18th! 

The doors open at 12 pm. Enjoy live music by Tina Williams from 5 pm to 8 pm, with the bonfire lighting at around 6 pm. 

Bring your used Christmas trees to add to the pile!

Join Citizens Preparedness Corps on November 22nd at 1:00pm in the Camp Allegany Classroom for a free training session. Learn how to make a family emergency plan, build a go-bag, and stay safe during natural disasters. 

Each Family will receive a free preparedness kit! Registration is required: Event Registration

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 15-16, June 28-29, September 27, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in their lives to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite, and the exhilaration of the catch!

Join Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater for the Final Centennial Celebration on Sunday, April 19th at 12:00pm. 

Come and help celebrate the Hollywood's 100th Birthday with organist Dennis James, Hollywood Drama Camp Alumni performances, and of course cake! 

This event is FREE to the public with concessions for sale.

Get ready for a rocking good time at Allegany State Park on Quaker Beach on Friday, July 18 from 5pm - 9pm. 

• 5-8:30pm: "Ask the Naturalist" and yard games, including Kickball (for all!) from 5-6pm! 
• Many unique vendors and treats
• 7-9pm: Live music by Marshmellow Overcoat 

It's sure to be a great time for everyone! 

Beat the winter blues and join us for a winter filled with fun indoor and outdoor activities. Allegany State Park and the Pat McGee Trail will be bustling with activities provided by the Allegany Region Environmental Educators. 

Beaver Pond Hike- Meet at 1:00 p.m. at Camp Allegany and hike to the Bova beaver ponds and learn more about these industrious creatures.
