Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Allegany State Park!

Join Allegany State Park on Saturday, September 27th from 9:00am-2:30pm at the Red House side of the park for a celebration of 20 years of National Public Lands Day! This nationwide event brings people together to give back to public lands through volunteer service projects. 

Event Details: 

- Check-in/Registration: 9:00-9:30am at the Beehunter picnic shelter 

- Service Projects: 9:30am-12:30pm 

Beat the winter blues and join us for a winter filled with fun indoor and outdoor activities. Allegany State Park and the Pat McGee Trail will be bustling with activities provided by the Allegany Region Environmental Educators. 

Pat McGee Trail nature walk begins at 1:00 p.m. at the New Albion Road parking area of the trail.

Learn about the Butterflies of Allegany State Park. Park Educator and butterfly enthusiast Tom LeBlanc will guide you through the butterflies that are found here and the research on the butterflies of the park. The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Allegany Classroom.

With the Thanksgiving holiday less than a week away, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino is gearing up to start the ensuing holiday season in spectacular fashion.

Thursday 6/27: the carnival is open from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Water fights are planned for 6:30 PM in front of the fire station. Registration starts at 6:00. The "Sticktights" band will be playing around 7:00 PM.

Come celebrate the magic of the holiday season at the free, family-friendly Annual Holiday Tree lighting celebration at Seneca Allegany on Wednesday, December 3 from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring horse-drawn carriage rides from 4-7pm and a tree lighting at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Air Supply, the duo of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, has been making memories through their music since 1975. First Day Bike. Next Level Mountain Biking will be leading a ride in the Red House area. Meet at Camp Allegany at 11:00 am on January 1, 2025. The pace and the length of the ride will be moderate and be determined by the participants. Participants may split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. Fat tire bikes are suggested, given the range of conditions likely to be present, however, use your best judgement for the conditions of the day. Questions: Contact Kristian Reiber at 716-785-2685. 

Join Allegany on September 21st, from 1pm - 3pm!! They will be celebrating with a grand opening party with a ribbon cutting! There will be 50/50s from local sponsors, vendors, live music from Animals in a Cage, and food trucks! They are going to try to have a best trick jam with giveaways!

Looking for a unique way to enjoy the crisp March air?

Allegany State Park is hosting a Moon Walk on Tuesday, March 31st. Everyone will be meeting at the Red House Admin Building at 5:30 PM. It’s a great chance to see the park in a whole new light (literally!).
