The Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) announces an exhibition of work from artists participating in the Seneca Arts Virtual Incubator (SAVI) program. The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, January 20 from 6-8pm at CCAC’s gallery space at 100 W. Main St., Allegany.

This walk was orginally scheduled as a snowshoe walk. Based on weather reports, it looks like we will not have enough snow for a snow shoe walk but the hike will still go on.

Back by popular demand are Harp & McKotch for an evening filled with drum and song.

The Farmersville Fire Department is hosting a Chicken BBQ on Sunday, February 5th, noon until gone.

All shows are Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2:30 PM at the Washington Street Theatre.

Trying to think of something fun for your kids to do during February break? The Cattaraugus County Arts Council, located right on Allegany's Main Street, has a full week of fun and educational classes for students of any age.

The Challenger Learning Center is offering a simulated rendezvous with Comet Halley.  This two hour mission transports participants to the year 2061when Comet Halley will visit our part of the solar system as its route takes it close to the sun and earth.  Participants will take a closer look, constructing a probe, plotting an interception and overcoming the challenges of space travel

 Annually since 1960, the Liederkranz Voice Competition in New York City has counted some of the nation's most important young singers among its prize winners, many of whom have advanced to major careers.

Parade, music, contests, food and lots of crazy, fun-loving folks! Saturday's Events include the Snow Ponies Race, the Cardboard Box race on School Haus and the Mardi Gras parade in the village of Ellicottville. Sunday's events include the costume parade down Mardi Gras and the infamous Dummy Downhill at the Yodler Lodge.

Grand Funk Railroad is scheduled to perform at Seneca Allegany Events Center on March 10 for a 7 p.m. show.  The high-energy band was one of the top rock acts of the 1970s, and hits like “Locomotion”,  “We’re An American Band” and “Some Kind of Wonderful” still play on the airwaves today.
