Trail Conditions

Snowmobile Trails are OPEN and in FAIR to GOOD Condition!
Thursday, March 5, 2015 - 3:28pm

Trails in Cattaraugus County remain OPEN in FAIR condition.

Allegany State Park received a combination of snow, freezing rain and rain over the past 24 hours which has created a coating of ice on the trails.  Groomers are out today attempting to process and turn the snow in an effort to improve the conditions.  Grooming may have a limited effect on some trail sections which will remain very hard packed and icy due to the recent warm rainy weather, so it may affect handling of your snowmobile.  Use Caution.

Southern Tier Snow Drifters   report that in Gowanda, there is an auxiliary trail from the Moose to McDonalds that is temporarily closed due to the gas company doing some work.  They strongly suggest that you NOT ride the sidewalk in that area.

Snowbounders   report that Trail S-36 in Ashford leading to Riley's, is officially closed.  The trail leading to South Dayton is closed as well.  They want to remind everyone that it is considered trespassing to ride on trails that have been closed by a club.

Enchanted Mountains Border Riders   report that their Club Trail in Limestone, goes past a couple homes and they encourage you to keep your sleds on the trail and quiet!  They also have some joint use sections on their trails and warn you to watch for vehicles and equipment.

ALL OF THE CLUBS want to remind riders to stay within the stakes on the trails.  This is for your safety as well as to keep landowners happy.  Without landowners, we wouldn't have trails!

Colder temperatures are expected, but there is no snow in the 7 day forecast.

Ride safe!
