Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is a great winter-time hiking activity and a terrific cardio workout! There are dozens of areas filled with trails to enjoy snowshoeing.

Pfeiffer Nature Center
Pfeiffer Nature Center offers miles of trails surround the area just waiting to be explored. The trails are well-groomed and kept clean all winter long.
Rentals at Pfeiffer Nature Center
They have a limited number of snowshoes to rent at any time.
Allegany State Park
The "Bear Paw Snowshoe Trail" was designed to be specific for snowshoeing, as it is not allowed on the Art Roscoe Trail System, in 2016. This 2.3 mile trail will take you around the Summit Area and Stone Tower. Featured in the map download are interesting animals, plants, and trees that you will see along this trail. The Park no longer rents snowshoes.
Ellicottville Area
Try snowshoeing the trails in Ellicottville! Nannen Arboretum has an approximate mile long trail around their pond and is open year 'round. There's also snowshoeing in the area State Forests.

Mud, Sweat and Gears rents out snowshoes! Atlas brand Snowshoe Rentals are also available at The City Garage in the village.
Holiday Valley Resort
If you're tired of the traditional skiing and snowboarding activities at Holiday Valley Resort, try some snowshoeing around the resort.
