HO! HO! HO! The holidays are right around the corner, and there's no better way to get into the spirit than by spending a fun-filled day at Allegany State Park for a Saturday with Santa on Saturday December 6th from 11:00am - 3:00pm.
Join the Environmental Education Department for a festive family event featuring crafts, games, photos with Santa, and plenty of holiday cheer.
In the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and/or an unwrapped toy to be donated to a local food pantry and Toys for Tots.
Event Highlights:
- 11:00am - Festivities begin in the Red House area
- 11:30am - Santa's Parade! Watch as Santa makes his way from Camp Allegany to the Red House picnic shelter
- 12:00-3:00pm - Visit Santa in the Red House Picnic Shelter and snap a holiday photo!
- 11:00am - 3:00pm - Stop by Camp Allegany (Santa's Workshop) for crafts, games, button making, a photo booth, and more!
- 2:45pm - Allegany State Park Historical Society's coloring contest winner announced!
Warm up with hot chocolate and cookies, hang an ornament on the big tree in the Red House Administration Building, or take a quiet break in the Red House Museum's peaceful Holiday Room.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided by the Friends of Allegany State Park, who - along with the Allegany State Park Historical Society - will be there to share more about their organizations.
