Summit 50/50 at Allegany State Park

Get ready for an unforgettable fall trail adventure on Saturday, October 25th starting at Art Roscoe Trailhead at Allegany State Park.

The Summit 50/50, hosted by Reluctant Runner Racing, is a Trail Sisters approved ultra trail race in the stunning summit of Allegany State Park, New York's largest and most picturesque state park. Experience crisp autumn air, brilliant foliage, and a course that will push your limits in all the best ways. 

Whether you're a first-time trail runner or a seasoned ultramarathoner, there is a challenge for everyone: 50-mile, 50K, and 25K

The 17.5-mile loop course winds through the Art Roscoe Cross Country Ski area, featuring well-groomed double track, scenic forest roads, and rolling hills. Expect about 2,400 ft of elevation gain per loop, a mix of runnable terrain, and one memorable 800-ft climb out of the Bova Trailhead. You'll pass through old-growth forests, quiet hollows, and vibrant fall scenery - the perfect setting to test your endurance and mental strength. 

Course & Race Details:

• 50-mile runners complete 3 loops (starting at 7:30am)
• 50K runners complete 2 loops (starting at 8:00am)
• 25K runners complete 1 loop (starting at 9:00am)
• Fully stocked aid stations at Summit (start and finish) and Bova Trailhead (~mile 5)
• Pacers allowed for the final 50-mile loop only
• Crew access available at the Summit Aid area
• Cutoff times: 50M-12 hours, 50K-9.5 hours, 25K-6 hours
• No drop bags on course (space available at Summit Aid)
• Course marked with ribbons, signs, and flagging

Awards & Recognition:

• All finishers receive a special commemorative item.
• Prizes for the top 3 female and male finishers in each distance.
