Tri-County Arts Council: Intermediate Soap Making Class

Elevate your soap-making skills with an Intermediate Cold Process Soap Making Class, led by instructor Melissa Curran, on February 15th from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. This hands-on workshop is designed for those who have mastered the basics and want to refine their techniques and explore more advanced soap-making concepts. Participants will take home their own custom-made bar soaps, typically 8-10 bars.

What You Will Learn:

  • Advanced Techniques: Dive into the art of layering and intricate designs.
  • Custom Formulations: Experiment with advanced recipes, including swirls, embeds, and natural colorants.
  • Infusions & Additives: Discover how to incorporate herbal infusions, exfoliants, and specialty oils for unique textures and scents.
  • Safety Practices: Understand advanced safety protocols for working with lye and essential oils.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy or bring an apron!

Note: Children aged 12-15 are welcome with an adult. Those aged 16+ do not need to be accompanied.
