Learn by doing!  Join in an Amish Folk Art Class, with history of American and Amish quilting.  Presented by the Leon Historical Society and Museum, you can make a traditional pattern quilt block with Amish and English instructors.  In October's class, you will learn how to make and quilt a 9 Patch Tote Bag, or Dresden Wreath.

The Allegany State Park Historical Society and The Friends of Allegany State Park will host walks on the weekends for park visitors to discover the Summit Fire Tower.  Meet anytime from 11am to 1pm on Saturdays at the Summit Fire Tower.

Olean Community Theatre presents "Driving Miss Daisy".  The place is the Deep South, the time 1948, just prior to the civil rights movement. Having recently demolished another car, Daisy Werthan, a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two, is informed by her son that she must rely on the services of a chauffeur.

Join in for an evening of scary stories and local folklore at the Onöhsagwë:de’ Cultural Center. The event is open to the public and will include scary stories, local folklore, and craft activities for the kids.

The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and city leadership are inviting the community out for a night on the town. Working with the city and members of the business community, the Chamber is announcing “StrOlean,” the event aims to bring folks to the downtown shopping district for an evening of fun. 

150 tables of merchandise including sporting goods, firearms, accessories, fishing equipment and game calls. THE place to be for fishermen, hunters, collectors and trappers.
