Tri-County Arts Council will be hosting an Acrylic Painting Workshop on October 5th and 12th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, Ages 12+.

Immerse yourself in the art of acrylic painting with this beginner-friendly class. You'll paint a picturesque scene featuring boats docked by a lush forest and majestic mountains, all under the expert guidance of Barbara Boser who will lead you through each step of the process. 

Cost:

First Day Bike. Next Level Mountain Biking will be leading a ride in the Red House area. Meet at Camp Allegany at 11:00 am on January 1, 2025. The pace and the length of the ride will be moderate and be determined by the participants. Participants may split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.

Rusty Rooster Farm & Vintage LLC , in Portville is hosting their 5th Annual Harvest Fall Fest on Saturday, October 5th from 10am - 4:00pm. 

The event features FREE outdoor activities like apple cider pressing, fall craft station, doughnuts and funnel cakes, door prizes, a candy count, photo stops, and Live music. 

Inside the shop, there will be in-store specials, honey samples, Ellen's pop up boutique, and a full chocolate shop with grab-and-go specials.

Lincoln Park will be transformed into a holiday haven as the Jingle Bell Jubilee returns on December 13 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., bringing the magic of a European-style holiday market to the heart of Downtown Olean. This festive event promises fun for the whole family with local artisan vendors, food, drinks, music, and special activities that will make attendees feel like they've stepped into a Hallmark movie.

Come down to Bicentennial Park on Erie St. in Little Valley Thursday, August 22nd for the final "Music in the Park" this summer hosted by Friends of Little Valley along with a cornhole tournament hosted by $lick $hooters Cornhole! 

Music begins at 6pm, featuring the "Iron Eyes Experience", a local three piece group based out of Salamanca. The band is well known for their rock and blues style that can be heard echoing throughout the enchanted mountains of Cattaraugus County! 

Join Next Level Mountain Biking for the first "bike" of the year! 

Meet at Camp Allegany at 11am on January 1st, 2026. The pace and length of the ride will be moderate or determined by the riders. Participants may split into two different groups so that no one gets left behind. 

Fat Tire bikes are advised, given the conditions of the trails that may be present.

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 15-16, June 28-29, September 27, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in their lives to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite, and the exhilaration of the catch!
