Celebrate the Holiday Season with a Living Nativity, complete with a camel, all in the Village. The Ellicottville A Christmas Stroll was created in 1987 by a group of citizens who wanted to organize such an event in the village. After brainstorming over coffee, it was decided that they wanted a live nativity scene with children dressed as angels and shepherds, who walked around the village and met at the gazebo. There, the baby Jesus was presented and caroling presided. The tradition has continued on for the past 36 years.

This festive Annual Santa Claus Lane Parade is held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. New Gear’s Eve Bike Ride begins at Camp Allegany on December 31 2024 at 6:00 p.m., with the ride starting at 6:30 p.m. Grab your bike and some friends to join Allegany staff and other fat bike enthusiasts for the last ride of the year. Bring lights, wear warm and reflective gear and a helmet. Participants may be split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. There will be a social to follow the ride in the Rec Hall at Camp Allegany. Bring your own snacks.
The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and city leadership are inviting the community out for a night on the town. Working with the city and members of the business community, the Chamber is announcing “StrOlean,” the event aims to bring folks to the downtown shopping district for an evening of fun.
