Join in on this great opportunity to learn about migratory species and birding as a hobby with a birding walk hosted by Tim Baird, president of the Cattaraugus Bird Club.
Join Tim from 8:00am - 9:00am on either Saturday, May 3rd or May 17th, for a great morning walk along the beautiful property at Pfeiffer Nature Center, fun for all ages!

Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.
Join the Tri-County Arts Council for an exciting Wire Bending/Rainbow Casting Heart Catcher Workshop on November 2nd from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. SerenHippity will be your guide, helping you channel your creativity into crafting a unique wire-bent Heart Catcher that will cast beautiful rainbow prisms in your home or garden.
Beat the winter blues and join us for a winter filled with fun indoor and outdoor activities. Allegany State Park and the Pat McGee Trail will be bustling with activities provided by the Allegany Region Environmental Educators.

Pfeiffer Nature Center will be hosting a Wildflower Walk on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
Come out and explore the local wildflowers with an easy kid-friendly walk through the fields and forest while learning how to identify blooming plants using field guides on Pfeiffer's Eshelman property on 1420 Yubadam Rd in Portville.
A $5 donation is appreciated.

To celebrate these industrious engineers, Allegany Educators invite you for a Beaver Nature Walk at Allegany State Park on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 1:00pm.
Meet up at Camp Allegany to start the trek to learn about the amazing Beaver and their impact on the park's ecosystem!

Allegany State Park is hosting a Moon Walk on Tuesday, March 31st. Everyone will be meeting at the Red House Admin Building at 5:30 PM. It’s a great chance to see the park in a whole new light (literally!).

The Beaver Moon will be the feature of this evening walk that leaves from the Red House Administration Building at 6:00 p.m. This full moon is also the biggest and closest supermoon of the year, orbiting closer to Earth than any other full moon in 2025.
