The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and city leadership are inviting the community out for a night on the town. Working with the city and members of the business community, the Chamber is announcing “StrOlean,” the event aims to bring folks to the downtown shopping district for an evening of fun. 

Join Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater for the Final Centennial Celebration on Sunday, April 19th at 12:00pm. 

Come and help celebrate the Hollywood's 100th Birthday with organist Dennis James, Hollywood Drama Camp Alumni performances, and of course cake! 

This event is FREE to the public with concessions for sale.

Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.

Ellicottville Distillery will host their 5th annual Distilled & Chilled Music Festival!

The Southern Tier Catholic School PTA will be hosting a Craft Fair on Saturday, June 20th from 10am - 3pm at the Southern Tier Catholic School on 921 N Union St, Olean, NY. 

This FREE event is rain or shine and contains indoor and outdoor vendors.

The Olean Theatre Workshop presents, "I Never Saw a Butterfly", a moving theatrical production that honors the memories of children who perished in the Terezin concentration camp in WWII. Based on their poems and drawings, the play showcases their hope, creativity, and humanity amidst unimaginable suffering, serving as a powerful tribute to their legacy.

Good Times of Olean will be hosting a Fall Vendor Show Extravaganza on Saturday, November 2nd from 12pm-5pm at Good Times of Olean located at 800 E State St, Olean.

Holiday Valley Snowsports School is featuring the 10th annual YOUR TURN women's clinic on Wednesday and Thursday, January 24 and 25, 2024 led by Lisa Ballard, a widely acclaimed coach and ski racer and assisted by several of Holiday Valley's finest women instructors. Intermediate skiers who can ski the blue squares through advanced skiers who want to take their skiing to the next level will benefit from this clinic. Wednesday- CHIEF’S NIGHT - All area departments are invited to showcase a piece of their apparatus.

Thursday- WATER FIGHT NIGHT - All area departments are encouraged to bring a team or teams to participate. Teams consist of both Junior and Senior members. Registration for the Water Fights will begin at 5:30pm and the fights start at 6:00pm.

Join the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts for an exciting community event on Saturday April 26, from 11am - 3pm; featuring a day of music, dance, art activities, and community engagement that is free and open to all ages. Come and experience the collaborative spirit of the Quick Center and its partners!

Spring is here and so is the annual Mother's Day Craft Show! There will be over 20 different vendors to shop from and a Chinese auction available. Shop for jewelry, candles, beauty products, breads, dips, diamond paintings, wood pieces, painted slates and so much more. 

Take a trip back in time with a Victorian Christmas at the Fannie Bartlett House in Olean, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Watch the Santa Claus Lane Parade before or after touring this beautifully restored mansion built in 1881 with 15 rooms, including a third-floor ballroom.

The historic house will be adorned with Christmas decorations during its annual open house on Friday from 6-9pm. There will be refreshments and raffle baskets, proceeds to benefit the Bartlett House. 

What is a Worm moon? Or a Sugar moon? Learn about the bright orb in the night sky on Tuesday, March 3rd. 

Meet in the Red House Administration building at 5:30. Wear warm clothes, appropriate footwear, and bring a flashlight.
