Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels Free Tours available on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Fridays of the month. No reservations necessary. Come and discover the beauty of the southern tier's Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean, NY.  The 33 Munich-style windows are some of the finest domestically-produced windows in the nation.  Pope Frances designated the church as a Minor Basilica on February 14, 2017 for its exquisite art, architecture and history. Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater presents Mike Randall as Mark Twain on Sunday, September 29th from 2-4pm. 

 Mike is a veteran Twain impersonator; he brings to life a side of Twain's personality that is often neglected!

Lincoln Park will be transformed into a holiday haven as the Jingle Bell Jubilee returns on December 13 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., bringing the magic of a European-style holiday market to the heart of Downtown Olean. This festive event promises fun for the whole family with local artisan vendors, food, drinks, music, and special activities that will make attendees feel like they've stepped into a Hallmark movie.

Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.

Learn about the Butterflies of Allegany State Park. Park Educator and butterfly enthusiast Tom LeBlanc will guide you through the butterflies that are found here and the research on the butterflies of the park. The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Allegany Classroom.

Get ready for a sweet summer treat!  Join Buffalo Cake Pops at Pour Taproom in Ellicottville, NY on Thursday, August 14th from 6pm-8pm for a Tropical Summer Sugar Cookie Decorating Class!  

In this 2-hour class, you'll learn the art of sugar cookie decorating with a luau theme. You'll receive 6 cookies and step-by-step guidance on techniques like royal icing, wet-on-wet designs, and texture creation. Plus, take home their royal icing recipe to practice your new skills!

The guided walk will help you identify and learn about the various mushrooms you'll find in the forest.

Kick off the summer on June 21st, 2025 when all of Main Street in Little Valley will be closed for the inaugural Little Valley Community Day! Over 30 vendors will fill the street along with food trucks, family activities, children's games, live music, bounce houses and more! The event will run from 1pm until 9pm. This is a rain or shine event.
