Come out to Allegany State Park on October 5th at 9:30am to experience "Autumn in Allegany"! 

This FREE event will be held in the Red House Area of the park at the Administration Building and is perfect for all ages! Participants will learn basic watercolor techniques and create their own masterpieces under the guidance of naturalists. All materials are provided, so you just need to bring your creativity!

Kick off the summer on June 21st, 2025 when all of Main Street in Little Valley will be closed for the inaugural Little Valley Community Day! Over 30 vendors will fill the street along with food trucks, family activities, children's games, live music, bounce houses and more! The event will run from 1pm until 9pm. Portville Central School’s Arts, Crafts, & Antiques Show returns as a one day, indoor event. It will be held at the Portville High School and will feature art, crafts, antiques and food on Saturday, November 2nd from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Proceeds collected directly benefit the students of Portville Central School in the form of achievement awards and student scholarships.

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 14-15, June 27-28, September 26, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in their lives to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite, and the exhilaration of the catch!

Learn about the Butterflies of Allegany State Park. Park Educator and butterfly enthusiast Tom LeBlanc will guide you through the butterflies that are found here and the research on the butterflies of the park. The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Allegany Classroom.
