Explore the forest of Pfeiffer Nature Center with a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Forester on Thursday, June 12th from 10am until 12pm. 

A NYS DEC Forester will lead the way as you explore the woods, learning how to identify common trees, shrubs, and invasive plants found in Western New York. You'll hear how foresters balance tree harvesting with the needs of wildlife, recreation, and long-term forest health. This guided trail walk is perfect for curious minds of all ages! 

Get ready for a thrilling ride with Olean Community Theatre's presentation of "The 39 Steps"! This fast-paced comedy, written by Patrick Barlow and directed by Tristan DeFiore, promises non-stop laughs and excitement.

Celebrate New York State's Path through History Weekend with a presentation about the Holland Land Company at the Leon Historical Society on June 15th at 11am. Barker Museum's Archivist, Catherine Oag-Miller will lead the presentation. She has extensive knowledge of people and happenings of the local areas and is known for giving an engaging presentation. For those of you who may have Holland Land Co. on your Deed, bring a notebook and enjoy hearing Ms. Oag-Miller at the 1836 Church in Leon, NY. Light refreshments will be served. 

This 2-day clinic is perfect for the intermediate to advanced-level woman skier who wants to have more control, more confidence and more fun with their skiing!

Several Holiday Valley's women instructors lead the groups through free skiing, drills, non-intimidating race training, and video analysis.

Women's ski demos are included.

There will be a basket raffle, 50/50, face painting, custom leather patches/hats, petting zoo and pony rides, and freeze dried candy!

Come join Santa and Mrs. Claus as they officially light the town's holiday decorations! This festive Annual Santa Claus Lane Parade is held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. Santa will be in attendance and light up thousands of lights in Lincoln Park and downtown Olean when he parades through town in celebration.

Ready to Roll? Grab your fat bike and join in for a series of Friday night fun rides this winter at Allegany State Park! These casual group rides are the perfect way to get outside, meet other riders, and enjoy the parks beautiful winter trails under the stars! 

Ride Details:

Participants are invited to join Allegany State Park educators for a fun ride of 5-7 miles around the Red House area bike path. All ages and bikes are welcome. Please no scooter bikes or training wheels. Helmets are required for all, bring a bike light, water and a sense of adventure as we ride under the first full moon of May.
