The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and city leadership are inviting the community out for a night on the town. Working with the city and members of the business community, the Chamber is announcing “StrOlean,” the event aims to bring folks to the downtown shopping district for an evening of fun.
Join the fun at the Annual OGH Auxiliary Strawberry Festival (10 a.m.. - 6 p.m.) and Health Fair (10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.)! Featuring: strawberry shortcakes, sausage sandwiches, popcorn, sloppy joes, nachos, hot dogs, texas hots, drinks, baked goods, craft items and entertainment!
Yeeehaw!! An honest-to-goodness rodeo at the home of the Nightmare Hayrides on Sommerville Street, complete with bronco bustin', bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing and stick horse racing for the kids. This is one of the largest IPRA/APRA sanctioned rodeos in the Northeast! The Ellicottville Championship Rodeo would like to invite you to come out and enjoy the family tradition with a step back in time to wild and western non-stop action. They will be celebrating their 31 year in 2019!
The Blueberries are back! Most u-pick blueberry farms are almost ready for u-pick!! And boy are they delicious! All the rain we have had has been good for something - producing plump and juicy berries!
If the way to a person’s heart is through the stomach, then Olean is a destination visitors are sure to love. The Taste of Olean will be held on July 28th. Time to loosen that belt a few notches, gather family and friends and head down to the 70th Annual Art in the Park and the 29th Annual Taste of Olean.
Celebrating over 36 years, the Cattaraugus County Trappers Association Sportsmen's Show features conservation displays, archery, black powder, trapping, fishing, guns, taxidermy dealers, big buck club display and live seminars. This is a NON-ALCOHOLIC, FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT Featuring seminars on Friday and Saturday. Camping and a lot of parking is available.

Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.
