Woods Walk and Trail Run at Pfeiffer Nature Center

Get out and celebrate National Trails Day!

This event is taking place on National Trails Day, and always draws lots of people for the six events being staged.  Timed runs include a really rugged 10.3 miles, a difficult 10K and a moderate 5K.  Regardless of which you choose, your heart will be pumping when you're heading up the hills.

Not a runner?  Not to worry.  Choose one of the three walking trails: a challenging 10K, a moderate 5K walk, or a short guided nature walk.  Margaret Chere, Executive Director, said "The guided nature walk is led by a naturalist, and gives people a chance to explore the natural world, learn a bit about the environment, and get some healthy exercise at the same time.  It's a great option for families with young children, grandparents, and everyone in between."

When you've finished, you'll be glad to take a break in the Finish Line Area where you can chow down on some great homemade food, check out the exhibit of live birds of prey, or even get a FREE massage.
