Poetry at the Labyrinth
Sister Joyce Ramage OFS, president of Canticle Farm, will lead a program combining poetry and the contemplative practice of walking the labyrinth. It will include readings from the noted publication “Love Poems from God”, discussion, and a guided walk through the labyrinth. Although the poems are theological in nature, the labyrinth program is open to secular and non-secular interests. Poetry at the Labyrinth will be held Wednesday, June 25 from 6:30-8:00 PM.
Labyrinths exist all over the world dating from earliest antiquity. Many have found the practice of walking the labyrinth an important part of stress management. Canticle Farm, located at 3855 South Nine Mile in Allegany has a large labyrinth created and maintained by farm volunteers.
The program is free of charge and open to the public. Persons interested in attending are asked to register with Canticle Farm at office [at] canticlefarm [dot] org (office [at] canticlefarm [dot] org) or call 716-373-0200 x 3358. Weather cancellations will be posted on Facebook at Canticle Farm.
