Who doesn’t love garlic?! Although most commonly associated with Mediterranean cuisine, this flavorful member of the Allium family also plays a huge role in Asian, Middle-Eastern, Latin American and, of course, American cuisine. Those of us who live in Cattaraugus County find ourselves in good company—growers, chefs, artisans, and vendors with garlic and garlic-themed products can be found throughout the county.

Community-Supported Agriculture

Canticle Farm & Native Offerings Farm

Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms ask customers (shareholders) to pay up front for a season-long supply of vegetables, fruit, and/or meat that varies weekly. Not only is this is a great way to support local agriculture, it also gives shareholders many opportunities to learn—they can help plant, maintain, and harvest crops alongside their farmers (above).  Want to learn more about CSAs in Cattaraugus County? |
