The Marvin “Joe” Curry Veterans PowWow is returning to the new and improved Veteran’s Park. The PowWow showcases Native American dances from across Indian Country while focusing on the Smoke Dance of the Iroquois and honoring Native American Veterans. This PowWow weekend event is a perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of the First Nations through song, dance, art and traditional foods. Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.
