Snowshoe Event at Pfeiffer Nature Center

Snowshoe hares have oversized feet which enable them to move quickly on top of the snow’s surface.  Come try out your snowshoeing skills on the white powder of the Lillibridge Preserve!  Bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair of traditional snowshoes from us when you visit Pfeiffer Nature Center’s winter wonderland.

This walk is for both the novice and advanced alike.  If there is no snow, join us for a winter stroll among the trees in the old growth forest.  This event will be held at:  Lillibridge Preserve, 1974 Lillibridge Road, Portville, NY 14770.  This program is FREE to the public.  There is no fee to borrow traditional snowshoes but they are in limited supply so contact Pfeiffer Nature Center to reserve your pair by Thursday, February 1st.  The traditional snowshoes are one size fits all and are recommended for ages 13 and up.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

To make reservations contact Pfeiffer Nature Center Administration Office 716-933-0187 or visit our website at www.pfeiffernaturecenter.org Pfeiffer Nature Center is supported by United Way funding.  Pfeiffer Nature Center where science, art & nature come together.
