Olean Mall Stock Car Show

Gentlemen, start your engines.  The 2018 racing season is here and so is the 26th Anuual Olean Mall Stock Car Show!

The event started back in 1982 as the Bradford Speedway Car Show. The inaugural show, was the brainchild of Rod Biehler, promoter and announcer at Bradford Speedway in the early ‘80’s. Indeed, Biehler has been the man responsible for every show at the mall thereafter.

This year’s show will feature over 60 machines of a diverse variety, including Super Late Models, Crate Late Models, Mini and Pure Stocks, Modifieds, Super Sportsman, and Go-Karts.

Five different speedways will be part of the show, including Old Bradford Speedway, Freedom Motorsports Park, Stateline Speedway, Wyoming County International Raceway, and Allegany Memorial Speedway.

A fun attraction this year is the drivers-only meatball sub eating contest, taking place on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Watch as the drivers line up, put their hands behind their back, and chow down on as many meatball subs as they can!

The annual awards ceremony will follow, and will include this year’s Legends of Racing Hall of Fame inductions. This will be on Saturday at 3pm.  Drivers interested in taking part in the event should call Rod Biehler at 814-225-4050.

Miner's Cabin built by Gold Miner

Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.
