2017 Ischua Falling Leaves Regatta

You’re invited to end your summer by participating in this amateur dice run regatta. Any form of motor-less craft may be entered for a fun trip down the beautiful Ischua Creek.

Proceeds benefit the Hinsdale American Legion – Hinsdale Vol. Fire Department – Ischua Vol. Fire Department.  This is the 12th annual Regatta and setup and camping is offered all weekend from Sept 7-8.  An amateur regatta to be held with any form of motorless boat running the Ischua Creek from Mill St. in Ischua to behind the Hinsdale American Legion (approx. 7.8 miles except length may be shorter due to low water or inclement weather). The Ischua Creek is classified as one of the few Class-A trout streams by the NY State Dept. of Environmental Conservation. The stream is home to native trout, ospreys, herons, and the American Bald Eagle. You are equally likely to see deer, bear, otter, beaver, and other aquatic animals during your venture.

Select from two routes: a long route (7.8 miles) starting at Mill Street in Ischua or a shorter route starting at Farwell Rd. (5.1 miles).

Visit website for more information!  Online registration is now closed for this year's Regatta.  However, you may still register in person until the Regatta starts!  Registrations may be dropped off at the Hinsdale American Legion; mailed to: Falling Leaves Regatta, P.O. Box 222, Hinsdale, NY 14743, or you may register in person at the Legion post on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
