Jake Owen is a Country Music superstar who has been churning out hits for more than a decade. Owen arrived on the Country Music scene in 2006 with the release of his debut album Startin’ With Me. The album produced the hit songs “Yee Haw,” “Startin’ With Me,” and “Something About a Woman.” Since then Owen has reached the top of the charts with “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Alone With You,” “The One That Got Away,” “Anywhere With You,” and “Beachin’.” His next album, Greetings from…Jake, is set to be released this year and includes the hit song “I Was Jack (You Were Diane).” This outdoor show is the perfect start to another memorable summer!

Meaning of the word Cattaraugus

CATTARAUGUS, from a Seneca Indian word meaning “bad smelling banks,” referring to the odor of natural gas leaking from rock seams. http://www.dos.ny.gov/info/pdfs/countynames.pdf

The word "Cattaraugus" means "foul-smelling river bank." This name is a result of the natural gas that oozes from the river mud. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cattaraugus_Creek.

In our opinion, only some of the river banks are bad smelling. Come on over and visit a creek in Cattaraugus County and tell us what you think.
