The Seneca-Iroquois National Museum is hosting a Winter Art Market on Saturday, November 23rd from 11am-6pm and on Sunday, November 24th from noon-5pm.

Come shop for holiday gifts from regional artists at this new event! Artists will be located throughout the museum and shoppers can enjoy local, handmade art while enjoying the wonderful exhibits in the new museum space. The Winter Art Market is a partnership with the Tri-County Arts Council and the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum.

The Winter Art Market is a two-day juried art exhibition and sale dedicated to excellence in visual arts and handcrafted goods as well as enhancing and promoting the visual arts and the talented artists and artisans in the area.

Participating artists include: Rose Nuzkowski - glass, Miranda Turner - painting, Eileen Weishan - fiber art, Michael Jones - ceramics, mixed media, Jennifer Dalimonte - drawing/painting, Michael Weishan - photography, Myra Johnston - wood, fiber art, mixed media, Peter Jones - ceramics, Pauline Hoffmann/Wild Mountain Organics - body care, Shelia Escobar - glass, corn husk dolls, mixed media, Keith McKale - wood carving, Karen Fitzpatrick - glass, John Balacki - painting, Tom Militello - glass/jewelry, Robin Zefers-Clark - watercolor, Karen Taverna - jewelry.

Miner's Cabin built by Gold Miner

Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.
