Moon through a Telescope

“The moon is magic for the soul and light for the senses.” – Unknown Author

Walking by the light of the moon offers a new perspective on a familiar world.  Join us on our near-full moon stroll at Lillibridge and enjoy the nighttime transformation of the trails and field that are so familiar to you. We will begin our walk at the Lillibridge kiosk and travel through the old growth forest to the top of the Pinkster trail overlooking the Lillibridge field.  From that vantage point, we will admire the night sky and share some fun and interesting facts about the moon.   Be sure to dress appropriately and wear sturdy shoes.  Please bring a flashlight and also binoculars if you have them.

This hike will take place at the Lillibridge Preserve, 1974 Lillibridge Rd., Portville.  Fee: Free for members, $5 for non-members and free for children 13 and under.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult.  Registration required by Thursday, January 13th.

To register, please e-mail naturalist [at] pfeiffernaturecenter [dot] org or call Pfeiffer Nature Center Administration Office 716-933-0187.  COVID safety measures will be followed.  The hike will be canceled if we are experiencing full cloud cover or poor weather conditions. If the weather appears questionable, look for a cancellation notice on the top of our website home page.  Pfeiffer Nature Center is supported by United Way funding.  Pfeiffer Nature Center- Where Science, Art & Nature Come Together.
