Join the Tri-County Arts Council on April 19th, 2025, for a vibrant and interactive Tie-Dye Workshop, led by instructor SerenHippity! In this 2-hour session, discover the art of creating stunning tie-dye designs on your very own tote bag. Learn the essentials of fabric preservation, basic tying techniques and tie-dye care. 

No experience necessary! Our workshop covers everything you need to know to achieve professional-looking results. Details:

HoliMont Contractor’s Day is an event filled with many fun activities that take place on and off the slopes.  This year’s activities include the 36th annual Dave Pitkin Memorial Ski Race, dedicated to him to commemorate his enduring spirit, his contributions to the HoliMont Racing Club, and his part in creating the racing hill, Our infamous Bombardier Ball Drop, Lunch provided by Dina’s at the Mont, A vendor market, and an Apres Ski Party. This event is sponsored by many local businesses and helps us celebrate and support our local community. Join us for our favorite day of the year!

Join Jean Benson on June 7th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for a fun and creative Dutch Pour Painting class! Create Your Own Masterpiece using fluid acrylic paint and a unique blowing technique that will create dynamic, abstract patterns on a 12x12 canvas.

Escape to the serene surroundings of Burdick Blueberries on July 31st at 6:00pm, for an unforgettable evening of yoga and nature! 

Join Laura Solly, Ellicottville-based yoga instructor, for an all-levels outdoor yoga session nestled in the picturesque blueberry patch, overlooking the beautiful fields. Breathe deeply, stretch out, and reconnect with nature as you savor the sweetness of summer. 

Before or after class, enjoy pick-your-own blueberries and flowers, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. 

Celebrate Earth Day with the Haul Together Community Cleanup on Saturday, April 18th from 8am - 6:00pm. It will be a day of fresh air and local impact across Olean and Allegany. Join the main group on their park-hopping schedule or tidy up a favorite spot on your own time.

Ring in the New Year with a refreshing first day hike at Pfeiffer Nature Center! Join them for a peaceful winter walk with fresh air, quiet trails, and community connection. 

Join Jessica Borchert on October 1st from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Tri-County Arts Council in Olean to celebrate Fall by painting a still life of pumpkins and create an original art piece to add to your fall decor.

Join Darlene Subulski for a 2D needle felting class on May 17th, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 pm! Create a beautiful bird-themed picture frame using wool roving and needle felting techniques. Details:

Join the Tri-County Arts Council for a live drawing session featuring a costumed model on November 19th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The session will begin with gesture drawing and progress to a longer pose. Please note that this is a practice session without an instructor. Ages 12 and up are welcome.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Allegany State Park!

Join Allegany State Park on Saturday, September 27th from 9:00am-2:30pm at the Red House side of the park for a celebration of 20 years of National Public Lands Day! This nationwide event brings people together to give back to public lands through volunteer service projects. 

Event Details: 

- Check-in/Registration: 9:00-9:30am at the Beehunter picnic shelter 

- Service Projects: 9:30am-12:30pm 

Discover the history of Allegany State Park- January 1, 2026. This year’s First Day Hike is an easy trek featuring historical and environmental tidbits of information about the features found in this area of the park. Your hike will take you along the Quaker Multiuse trail that conveniently has an entrance at Camp Turner.

At 11:30 a.m. join park educators for a guided hike at Science Lake and learn the history and interesting historical figures of the park. The Historical Society will have the Quaker Museum open from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
