Get ready for the region’s biggest downtown celebration — StrOlean is back and bigger than ever! On Saturday, August 15th, the 100–200 blocks of North Union Street will transform into a vibrant, "pedestrian-only" festival packed with delicious food, shopping, live music, entertainment, and family-friendly fun all day long!

What to Expect-

April calls for spring cleaning, and the Allegany State Park Historical Society invites the community to help get the Quaker Museum and St. John’s Chapel ready for the season on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at 1:00pm!

Lend a hand with some dusting, vacuuming, and light cleaning to freshen up these two historic gems. The cleanup will last approximately 90 minutes. Cleaning supplies like shop vacs, rags, and dusting tools are welcome, though some will be provided on-site.

Carson Waterman, a distinguished artist and revered cultural figure for the Haudenosaunee people of the Seneca Nation, will discuss his life and artwork in a special presentation at St. Bonaventure University on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:00pm in the Rigas Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. 

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 14-15, June 27-28, September 26, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in their lives to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite, and the exhilaration of the catch!
