New Gear’s Eve Bike Ride begins at Camp Allegany on December 31 2024 at 6:00 p.m., with the ride starting at 6:30 p.m. Grab your bike and some friends to join Allegany staff and other fat bike enthusiasts for the last ride of the year. Bring lights, wear warm and reflective gear and a helmet. Participants may be split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. There will be a social to follow the ride in the Rec Hall at Camp Allegany. Bring your own snacks.

Join Gowanda for a great day in the village filled with classic cars, community, and fun for the whole family! Whether you’re showing off your ride or just coming to check them out, this is always one of Gowanda’s favorite events of the year.

Entry Fee: $15 per vehicle

Stroll through rows of beautiful cars, meet local owners, and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere right in the heart of Gowanda. There will be plenty to see and something for everyone!

Ready to Roll? Grab your fat bike and join in for a series of Friday night fun rides this winter at Allegany State Park! These casual group rides are the perfect way to get outside, meet other riders, and enjoy the parks beautiful winter trails under the stars!

Join the Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2026 Ducky Derby at Creekside Park in Gowanda!

Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun, food, games, prizes, and community spirit as hundreds of rubber ducks race down Cattaraugus Creek for a chance to win cash prizes!

If you’re a first responder, enjoy a free roundtrip train ride from Gowanda, NY, to South Dayton and back. A 30-minute layover in the village of South Dayton lets you explore the vendors in the area, such as farmers, baked goods, and crafts. All first responders ride for free!

Want to work off some of the turkey or treats; or just spend some time outdoors with other biking families? Join us as we take an evening ride along the Red House Bike Path. Meet at Camp Allegany at 6:15 pm with the ride starting at 6:30 pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult and wear a helmet.  You do not have to have a fat bike for this ride, but you will need a headlamp or a bike light. Please, no balance bikes, or bikes with training wheels.

Cami Clune, who captivated audiences on The Voice with her stunning performances and earned a four-chair turn, will be lighting up the Hollywood Theatre stage on Saturday, November 2nd at 7:00 PM. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, Cami is a versatile singer, songwriter, and actress. She gained national fame as a semi-finalist on Season 19 of The Voice.

Fasten your sleigh-belts for Gowanda Community Theater's season finale - The Little Town of Christmas! This series of short plays is filled with festive entertainment as part of Christmas in Gowanda 2025!

Gowanda is a a beautifully quaint community nestled among the hills surrounding Cattaraugus Creek and is coming together for a Christmas Celebration. Come help start off the holiday season downtown with local merchants, train rides all day, Annual tree lighting ceremony, Holiday Spirit Parade and a festive atmosphere for the whole family. Of course we can not forget that Santa and all his helpers will be there to help us celebrate this joyous time of year! Mark your calendars! 

Join us on a fun and festive Christmas train ride where the kids get to meet Santa! He might even have gifts for all the boys and girls!
