The Rusty Rooster: Christmas Barn Show

Through the generosity of the community businesses and organizations listed below, the City of Olean Youth Bureau & Recreation Department is offering free admission for public ice skating the following dates and times. There is a $3.00 skate rental fee.

Special appearance by Santa on December 24th from 12-2pm. Free admission, just a $3 rental fee. Sponsored by the Olean Rotary Club.

Join the Tri-County Arts Council on April 19th, 2025, for a vibrant and interactive Tie-Dye Workshop, led by instructor SerenHippity! In this 2-hour session, discover the art of creating stunning tie-dye designs on your very own tote bag. Learn the essentials of fabric preservation, basic tying techniques and tie-dye care. 

No experience necessary! Our workshop covers everything you need to know to achieve professional-looking results. Details:

Good Times of Olean will be hosting a Fall Vendor Show Extravaganza on Saturday, November 2nd from 12pm-5pm at Good Times of Olean located at 800 E State St, Olean. 

Admission is free! Come indulge your senses with delicious food & drinks, and great LIVE music while you explore different vendors selling hand made crafts, collectables, and more! Spread the word, rally your friends, and come make some great memories at Good Times of Olean! 

What’s included in this 2-part class:

Everything you need to make your own piece of stained glass. They'll have all kinds of glass to choose from, tools to cut and grind the glass into shape, copper foil for edges, solder and all the tools to apply it.

They will have several designs to choose from. 

You get to take home your stained glass piece at the end of the second day.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared to stand for most of the class.

**They need at least 4 signups to make the class happen, consider bringing a friend!**

The Southern Tier Catholic School PTA will be hosting a Craft Fair on Saturday, June 20th from 10am - 3pm at the Southern Tier Catholic School on 921 N Union St, Olean, NY. 

This FREE event is rain or shine and contains indoor and outdoor vendors. 

Please note: Indoor vendors are not wheelchair accessible.

Want to work off some of the turkey or treats; or just spend some time outdoors with other biking families? Join us as we take an evening ride along the Red House Bike Path. Meet at Camp Allegany at 6:15 pm with the ride starting at 6:30 pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult and wear a helmet.  You do not have to have a fat bike for this ride, but you will need a headlamp or a bike light. Please, no balance bikes, or bikes with training wheels.

Discover the fascinating world of frogs and toads in this hands-on learning experience. This is open to all ages! The event will take place at the Lillibridge property of Pfeiffer Nature Center at 12pm on Sunday, July 27th.

The Limestone Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Stand-Up Comedy Show featuring Robb Will, Jamestown's 67th Funniest Comedian, with special guest Rick Mathews, winner of Buffalo's Laugh Off Competition. 

The show starts at 7:30pm on Saturday, February 14th, 2026. 

Tickets are $25 dollars for non-members and $15 for members. 

Join in for a good time and some laughter presented by Just Vibe Events and Entertainment.

Saturday November 25th starts the first of many days Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting our house.

Santa will be escorted by the Allegany Police and Fire Department to our house, where he will greet all visitors. Basket raffles will be avaliable for people to buy tickets to help support our community event.

Join instructor, Abby Zickefoose, on Tuesday, September 16th & 30th from 6-8pm for a two-part class in ceramic decor at the Tri-County Arts Council. 

In this class you get the chance to create a 6"x6" ceramic decoration with a cute cozy reading nook scene. You get to choose the theme whether you choose a fall or Halloween theme or keep it simple for all year round.
