This is designed as a guide to anglers in locating the higher quality stocked and un-stocked trout streams in western NY. It is not intended as a list of all the wild trout streams, nor all the streams where trout are stocked. Lists of all stocked streams are available from this office.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 18th from noon to 4 pm for the 10th Annual Cruising Against Cancer Car and Craft Show located at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds! All proceeds will benefit the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.

Join Foster Cattaraugus for an enchanting evening at the 2nd Annual Adult Prom hosted at Woodside Tavern on the Range on Saturday, August 9th at 6:00pm, benefiting foster care in Cattaraugus County. Don a mask and formal attire for a night of mystery and magic.

The Jingle Bell Jubilee is a holiday event featuring many activities and events: the holiday market, carolers, dance groups, wreath creation class, Shop Raffle Drawing, Sips of the Season, make and take craft, horse and wagon rides; an inflated snow globe for picture opps, cocoa and cookie crawl, decorate the tree contest, cookie decorating, and even a Rudolph run! Hours for the event are 4:30-8pm.
HoliMont Contractor’s Day is an event filled with many fun activities that take place on and off the slopes. This year’s activities include the 36th annual Dave Pitkin Memorial Ski Race, dedicated to him to commemorate his enduring spirit, his contributions to the HoliMont Racing Club, and his part in creating the racing hill, Our infamous Bombardier Ball Drop, Lunch provided by Dina’s at the Mont, A vendor market, and an Apres Ski Party. This event is sponsored by many local businesses and helps us celebrate and support our local community. Join us for our favorite day of the year!
The Wildwood Sanitarium opened it's doors in 1906 as a Sanitarium and Bath House. Later, in 1923, it became a Tuberculosis Clinic and then used as apartments later on.
Holiday Valley Snowsports School is featuring the 10th annual YOUR TURN women's clinic on Wednesday and Thursday, January 24 and 25, 2024 led by Lisa Ballard, a widely acclaimed coach and ski racer and assisted by several of Holiday Valley's finest women instructors. Intermediate skiers who can ski the blue squares through advanced skiers who want to take their skiing to the next level will benefit from this clinic. Perhaps a little known fact is that Ray Evans, co-lyricist of the Christmas Classic was a native of Salamanca, NY. Salamanca knows it however, and honors him each year with the Silver Bells Festival. Now there's one more way he is forever remembered in the town in which he was born and raised i
