The Largest New York State Park is Allegany State Park which is the 3rd largest in the United States of America with 65,000 acres (97 square miles) and many miles of trails. Allegany State Park has over 35 miles of Cross Country skiing trails, 18 hiking trails and 5.6 miles of paved multi-use trails (horseback riding, snowmobiling and more) around Red House Lake area. 3 campground areas with over 375 cabins.
Third Night of Christmas in Allegany
This is the third night of Christmas In Allegany at the Allegany Santa House. This is a free event to come visit Santa in his beautifully decorated Santa House with Elf Shack behind selling basket raffle tickets to help support this yearly tradition.

Christmas in Allegany 2023
All are welcomed to the 2023 Christmas In Allegany Santa House season!
Saturday November 25th starts the first of many days Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting our house.
Santa will be escorted by the Allegany Police and Fire Department to our house, where he will greet all visitors. Basket raffles will be avaliable for people to buy tickets to help support our community event.

Experience the captivating sounds of Galvin Cello Quartet. These talented musicians explore the limitless range of a cello ensemble by bringing together new pieces from diverse cultural backgrounds while seeking to establish the cello quartet as a core part of the classical music world.
Showtime is Friday, February 20th, 2026 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and SBU staff & faculty, and $5 for students.
