Join the Challenger Learning Center for a magical evening of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) at the Wizard Family STEAM Night on Friday, October 17th from 5:30 - 7:30pm, with doors opening at 5pm. 

Enjoy 30+ wizard-themed STEAM activities, including the Sorting Hat, Tri-Wizard Championship, and a Horcrux Hunt.

Join Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater on Friday, April 17th, starting at 4pm for a black-tie evening of classic Hollywood glamour to kick off the 100th year of the theater! 

The night will feature a catered cocktail hour in The Old Bank and a night of jazz with the Springville Jazz Orchestra.

Single - $60, includes: 2 free drink tickets, cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres, and red carpet admission. 

A pair of tickets are $100 - includes all the above perks per person. 

Celebrate New York State's Path through History Weekend with a presentation about the Holland Land Company at the Leon Historical Society on June 15th at 11am. Barker Museum's Archivist, Catherine Oag-Miller will lead the presentation. She has extensive knowledge of people and happenings of the local areas and is known for giving an engaging presentation. For those of you who may have Holland Land Co. on your Deed, bring a notebook and enjoy hearing Ms. Oag-Miller at the 1836 Church in Leon, NY. Light refreshments will be served.

Spring is here and so is the annual spring craft and vendor show! There will be over 35 different vendors to shop from and a chinese auction available. The Lunch Bus, a local favorite food truck will also be at the event! 

Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels Free Tours available on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Fridays of the month. No reservations necessary. Come and discover the beauty of the southern tier's Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean, NY.  The 33 Munich-style windows are some of the finest domestically-produced windows in the nation.  Pope Frances designated the church as a Minor Basilica on February 14, 2017 for its exquisite art, architecture and history. Take a trip back in time with a Victorian Christmas at the Fannie Bartlett House in Olean, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Watch the Santa Claus Lane Parade before or after touring this beautifully restored mansion built in 1881 with 15 rooms, including a third-floor ballroom.

The historic house will be adorned with Christmas decorations during its annual open house on Friday from 6-9pm. There will be refreshments and raffle baskets, proceeds to benefit the Bartlett House.
