The Challenger Learning Center announced the return of their popular space quiz event! Join in to test your space knowledge and also support a local organization. The event will feature a quiz with prizes for the winning team. You can participate in a team of 2-5 players.

Apart from the quiz, we will also have raffles with exciting prizes such as a Cutco Block, a $100 gift certificate from the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, a $50 AMC gift certificate, and more. You can still purchase raffle tickets even if you are not attending the event.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Allegany State Park!

Join Allegany State Park on Saturday, September 27th from 9:00am-2:30pm at the Red House side of the park for a celebration of 20 years of National Public Lands Day! This nationwide event brings people together to give back to public lands through volunteer service projects. 

Event Details: 

- Check-in/Registration: 9:00-9:30am at the Beehunter picnic shelter 

- Service Projects: 9:30am-12:30pm 

Beer is Back! The 18th annual Beer and Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, November 12th. With many of the region's best craft brewers, wineries and cideries in attendance you can sample your favorites, plus try out several new and unique flavors. Add live entertainment, food trucks and 1500 of your closest friends, it's an event not to be missed.

The format was adjusted so no there are two sessions in order to allow guests to have more space in the lodge. The first session is 1pm - 4pm and the second is 5pm - 8pm.

Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels Free Tours available on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Fridays of the month. No reservations necessary. Holiday Valley Snowsports School is featuring the 10th annual YOUR TURN women's clinic on Wednesday and Thursday, January 24 and 25, 2024 led by Lisa Ballard, a widely acclaimed coach and ski racer and assisted by several of Holiday Valley's finest women instructors. Intermediate skiers who can ski the blue squares through advanced skiers who want to take their skiing to the next level will benefit from this clinic. The clinic will begin at 8AM with registration and breakfast. Pre-registration is advised as attendance is limited. Questions, call 716-699-3506. 

Join the Olean Historical Society for the 2026 Speaker series, kicking off with a presentation by Mike Winicki. He will be speaking on the history and operations of the P.A. Railroad Buffalo Street Yard at 6:30 pm on May 18th.

The event will be held outside, so bring your lawn char and meet on the museum's side lawn. If it rains, the event will be held indoors. 

The event will be held at 302 Laurens Street in Olean, NY.

Rusty Rooster Farm & Vintage LLC , in Portville is hosting their 2nd Annual Barkyard Maker's Market on Saturday, July 26th from 10am - 4:00pm. 

The event features a ton of vendors, chicken bbq, Live music... and so much more.

Join Ellicottville Distillery as they celebrate the last day of 2023 with their annual "Liquor Mile" at on Sunday December 31st!

Distillery opens and registration for runners starts at 11am. Run starts at 12pm. It is $25 a runner to enter the 5k followed by the Liquor Mile which is $15. $35 fee if you are planning on doing both the 5K & Liquor Mile.

All proceeds will be donated to Oishei Children’s hospital.

After every quarter of a mile you get a miniature cocktail! 1 mile run + 4 drinks!
