After bursting onto scene as the Season 10 winner of “American Idol,” he quickly won the hearts of critics and audiences alike, with his deep voice and traditional Country style. Come join Santa and Mrs. Claus as they officially light the town's holiday decorations! This festive Annual Santa Claus Lane Parade is held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. Santa will be in attendance and light up thousands of lights in Lincoln Park and downtown Olean when he parades through town in celebration.

Next Level Mountain Biking will be leading a ride in the Red House area. Meet at the Administration Building at 11:00 am on January 1, 2024. The pace and the length of the ride will be moderate and be determined by the participants. Participants may split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. Fat tire bikes are suggested, given the range of conditions likely to be present, however, use your best judgement for the conditions of the day.

HoliMont Contractor’s Day is an event filled with many fun activities that take place on and off the slopes.  This year’s activities include the 36th annual Dave Pitkin Memorial Ski Race, dedicated to him to commemorate his enduring spirit, his contributions to the HoliMont Racing Club, and his part in creating the racing hill, Our infamous Bombardier Ball Drop, Lunch provided by Dina’s at the Mont, A vendor market, and an Apres Ski Party. This event is sponsored by many local businesses and helps us celebrate and support our local community. Join us for our favorite day of the year!

The Challenger Learning Center in Allegany is hosting a magical event where kids, and parents, can dress up as their favorite wizards and participate in over 30 STEAM activities on October 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm. 

Cost: $5 per person 

*If you register by October 22nd, your child will receive a special letter from Hogwarts via email that you can print out!

Through the generosity of the community businesses and organizations listed below, the City of Olean Youth Bureau & Recreation Department is offering free admission for public ice skating. There is a $3.00 skate rental fee.
