Take Your Photography to the Next Level with help from instructor, Dan Jordan on July 12th, 2025, from 12:00-3:00 pm for a beginner's photography class. Learn the fundamentals of photography and discover how to capture stunning images that go beyond simple snapshots with tips like camera settings and how to use them effectively, composition techniques for visually appealing photos, and lighting, focus, and exposure control.

The Largest New York State Park is Allegany State Park which is the 3rd largest in the United States of America with 65,000 acres (97 square miles) and many miles of trails. Allegany State Park has over 35 miles of Cross Country skiing trails, 18 hiking trails and 5.6 miles of paved multi-use trails (horseback riding, snowmobiling and more) around Red House Lake area. 3 campground areas with over 375 cabins.

Ahhh the holidays! Whether you are looking for relaxation or excitement with the holidays we'll have some activities below.
What’s included in this 2-part class:
Everything you need to make your own piece of stained glass. They'll have all kinds of glass to choose from, tools to cut and grind the glass into shape, copper foil for edges, solder and all the tools to apply it.
They will have several designs to choose from.
You get to take home your stained glass piece at the end of the second day.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared to stand for most of the class.
**They need at least 4 signups to make the class happen, consider bringing a friend!**
Join Allegany on September 21st, from 1pm - 3pm!! They will be celebrating with a grand opening party with a ribbon cutting! There will be 50/50s from local sponsors, vendors, live music from Animals in a Cage, and food trucks! They are going to try to have a best trick jam with giveaways!
New Gear’s Eve Bike Ride begins at Camp Allegany on December 31 2024 at 6:00 p.m., with the ride starting at 6:30 p.m. Grab your bike and some friends to join Allegany staff and other fat bike enthusiasts for the last ride of the year. Bring lights, wear warm and reflective gear and a helmet. Participants may be split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. There will be a social to follow the ride in the Rec Hall at Camp Allegany. Bring your own snacks.
Next Level Mountain Biking will be leading a ride in the Red House area. Meet at the Administration Building at 11:00 am on January 1, 2024. The pace and the length of the ride will be moderate and be determined by the participants. Participants may split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. Fat tire bikes are suggested, given the range of conditions likely to be present, however, use your best judgement for the conditions of the day.
As Christmas approaches, join Jessica Borchert on December 7th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for a magical painting session. Learn to create a beautiful Christmas tree, making a heartfelt gift perfect for your loved ones.

Want to work off some of the turkey or treats; or just spend some time outdoors with other biking families? Join us as we take an evening ride along the Red House Bike Path. Meet at Camp Allegany at 6:15 pm with the ride starting at 6:30 pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult and wear a helmet. You do not have to have a fat bike for this ride, but you will need a headlamp or a bike light. Please, no balance bikes, or bikes with training wheels.
This class welcomes all levels of watercolor experience—whether you’re a complete beginner or have been painting for years. Each session is tailored to meet individual skill levels, helping every student grow and refine their technique. You’ll choose from a selection of pre-drawn nature-themed outlines to paint, allowing you to focus on developing your watercolor skills without the pressure of drawing. All supplies are provided, and your finished artwork will be ready to frame in an 8” x 10” frame.
Learn how to finger knit your very own ultra-soft chunky yarn blanket—no needles or experience required! In this hands-on class, you’ll work with six skeins of plush chenille yarn to create a beautiful 35” x 60” blanket that will be perfect during the colder months.
They’ll guide you step-by-step through the finger knitting process, teach you how to care for your finished piece, and help you relax and enjoy the meditative rhythm of working with your hands.
