The Summit 50/50, hosted by Reluctant Runner Racing, is a Trail Sisters approved ultra trail race in the stunning summit of Allegany State Park, New York's largest and most picturesque state park. Enjoy a unique and fast-paced take on the Bard with "Shakespeare Abridged"! This comedic performace is brought to the state by the Kenan Center Troupe. The Kenan Center is one of the premier facilities in the Buffalo Niagara region for arts, education and recreation programming.

Showtime is Friday, April 17th, 2026 at 7:30pm and Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and SBU staff & faculty, and $5 for students. 

Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.

Laugh for the holidays with 'Vickie & Nikie's Holiday Sleigh Ride'

During this celebration of the holiday season, Minnesota style, the duo entertains with sidesplitting interpretations of favorite holiday songs and pop tunes, wacky originals, fun family stories, social commentary, improvisation and audience participation.

The Challenger Learning Center in Allegany is hosting a magical event where kids, and parents, can dress up as their favorite wizards and participate in over 30 STEAM activities on October 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm.

Join the Regina A Quick Center staff as they conclude their yearlong celebration with a special evening honoring the center's founders and supporters. The gala will feature a performance by Olean-born, Grammy-nominated artist Calabria Foti, pianist and SBU professor Laura Peterson, Jazz musicians and more.
